In this article we give an overview of the Referrals page in Talon.One. On the Referrals page of your campaign, you can view, search, filter, and edit referral codes for your campaign.
Referrals must be enabled for your campaign in Settings to access this page. The Referrals table is empty if you have not created any referral codes yet. Referral codes are always unique and you can not generate the same referral code in a different campaign.
Please ensure your integration is configured to accept Referral Codes and you have read how to create a campaign in Talon.One.
Once you created one or more referral codes, you can find the created codes on the Referrals Page. Once you create a referral code you can edit or make changes to the code value and attributes.
The referral information available in the columns of the referrals table:
Select the codes you want to delete. You can select all your coupons at once by clicking the checkbox in the title section of the table
The code that you define when you Create Referral Codes or when you set a Rule which generates a referral code. The code is random but you can define its length, character set and allowed characters. You can also define if it has a prefix, suffix.
To define the referral code characteristics:
- Click on Settings in a Campaign
- Click on Referral Codes
The number of successful redemptions of a code out of the total redemption limit is visible here. If you do not set a redemption limit, it shows the number of redemptions out of infinity.
In the example above all referral codes have an unlimited redemption limit.
The date when you created the referral code. Recently created coupons appear at the top of your list of referral codes.
The start and expiry date you have defined for your referral code. This setting is not required and appears empty if no date is set.
Advocate's Integration ID
An Advocate's Integration ID associated with a specific referral code (unique codes) appears here.
You can click on the Advocate's Integration ID and it takes you to the Customers page of your application.
If you have created Referral Attributes in your account they appear here. You can add values for the Referral Attributes when you create a referral code or by editing the referral code.
Search and Filter Referral Codes
In the top section of the Coupons page, you can search for, filter, and sort your codes in a number of ways.
You can search for referral codes by typing the referral code in the search bar located in the upper-right hand corner of the Referrals Page.
You can filter referral codes by the following criteria:
- Creation Date
- Advocate's Integration ID
You can filter referral codes by the date of creation.
Advocate's Integration ID
You can filter referral codes by Integration ID. It only shows the referral codes associated with a specific Integration ID.
When referral codes have valid from/until dates you can filter them by validity. A referral code can have the following validity states:
- Expired - Codes that are past their expiration date.
- Valid Now - Codes that are valid and ready for users to redeem.
- Valid in the Future - Codes that will activate on a future date.
You can filter codes by their redemption state. Referral codes have the following redemption state:
- Redeemed - Referral Codes which reached their usage limit and users can no longer redeem them.
- Still Usable - Referral Codes which users can still redeem.
You can also filter by any which shows all referral codes regardless of their redemption state.
Edit and Delete Referrals
Once you generate codes, you can edit the details of these codes on the Referrals Page. To edit a referral code:
- Select the codes you want to edit by clicking the checkbox.
- Click Edit Referral.
You can only edit one referral code at a time.
You can edit the following information associated with referral codes:
- Start and expiration date.
- Redemption limits.
- Custom attributes input values.
You can delete referral codes by checking the checkbox of the codes you want to delete. After selecting the referral codes you can delete them by clicking on the Delete Referrals button.
