In this article we will cover the important aspects of managing your Applications in Talon.One. Once your integration is up and running, you will need to create one or more Applications so you can start creating campaigns.
Depending on your business requirements, you can set up Applications that connect to a website, ecommerce shop, mobile app, or different country markets. You can also set up a staging or sandbox Application for testing and a production Application for live campaigns.

You can add multiple applications and organize your campaigns within each application based on your business requirements. You can create as many applications as your contract allows.
From the main login page of your account, click New Application. This will open a new window.
Creating a new Application will usually only be done when you are first setting up your account, and a typical user will have two Applications, one for testing and one for their live campaigns (e.g. production).
When you add an Application, Talon.One automatically generates a unique API key that is required for your integration.
Give your Application an obvious name and remember to follow a consistent naming convention to easily differentiate between other Applications (e.g., Testing and Production, or for different markets like FR, UK, DE).
Add a short and clear explanation of each Application to ensure all account users understand the purpose of each Application.
CurrencyChoose the currency used in your shop system from the drop down. Applications can only operate with a single currency, but you can create multiple Applications with different currencies.
This is the timezone your business operates in and this information is important for scheduling campaigns.
From the drop down menu, choose if you would like to create and store coupon codes with case sensitivity or not. If you choose "Case Sensitivity", any code sent over API will be evaluated exactly as it is sent (e.g., the code FREEGIFT will only work with all capital letters).
Case Sensitive Codes
If you select "Case Insensitive - Uppercase", every code will be stored in our database as uppercase, any code sent to us over API will be converted to uppercase and all codes will be generated in uppercase (even if you write it as a lower case, we will automatically convert the code to uppercase). The same applies for "Case Insensitive - Lowercase".
API KeyThis is the code automatically generated by Talon.One for each Application. This API key is required for your integration This unique ID is associated with your Application and is used for sending integration data to Talon.One.
Now, that you have filled in the required information, you can click Create Application. Congratulations! You have created your first Application. Remember your integration must be connected using the API key before you can start sending data to Talon.One.
Once you have an application set up, you can edit it at any time by navigating to the application settings page.
Click the application’s name on your home page
This opens the application overview. From here, select Settings.
Here you can find information, change settings for or delete your application.
In the first tab you can change Details previously set in the Application Details section above, with the exception of Case Sensitivity.
If you would like to switch to "Case Insensitive" but have already created your Application, please get in touch and we will let you know what is possible. Note that these changes will apply to both Referral and Coupon codes.
In Developer Settings you can see your application's ID and Key.
In Delete you can permanently delete your application, provided your account has sufficient privileges to do so.
